Israel says it will deliver emergency aid to southern Gaza during a “tactical pause” | News in brief

Israel says it will deliver emergency aid to southern Gaza during a daily “tactical pause”.

The Israeli armed forces are talking about a “tactical pause”, during which they will release emergency aid to the southern Gaza region, which has been severely affected by Israel’s military operations.

According to the armed forces, from now on it plans to suspend its offensive operations in southern Gaza daily from eight in the morning to seven in the evening.

During the “tactical break”, trucks carrying emergency aid can access the southern Kerem Shalom border crossing to the Salah al-Din highway that runs through Gaza, from where emergency aid can be distributed throughout Gaza.

According to the Armed Forces, the breaks are coordinated together with the UN and international aid organizations.

The movement of emergency aid in the area became significantly more difficult at the beginning of May, when Israeli forces began offensive operations in the Rafah area.
