Spokesman for the Israeli Armed Forces Daniel Hagari said Thursday that Israeli forces have “eliminated” more than 17,000 Palestinian militants in Gaza throughout the war.
The Armed Forces did not specify whether the word “eliminate” refers only to those killed or whether it also includes the wounded and captured.
According to Gaza health authorities, more than 40,000 Palestinians have died in the war that began in October.
The figures reported by the parties cannot be confirmed by impartial sources.
