The Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the army on Thursday, February 6, to prepare a plan in order to allow the inhabitants of Gaza to “go voluntarily”, after Donald Trump’s statements on a potential displacement of the Palestinians of Palestinians This territory.
“I asked the Israeli army to prepare a plan to allow the inhabitants of Gaza to go voluntarily,” he said in a statement. It is a question of “allowing any resident of Gaza who wishes to go to any place in the world who agrees to welcome him”. The plan will include “from exit options to land passage points as well as special arrangements for maritime and air outings,” he added.
Only one exit point
The only Gaza Airport was destroyed during the second Intifada (2000-2005) and the Gaza Strip, devastated by the war between Israel Palestinian Hamas, does not have a port for passenger transport.
While Israel prohibits Palestinians from Gaza from all exit from the territory and the only point of passage to Egypt is only open for medical evacuations in the dropper, Israel Katz does not specify if he intends to let the Palestinians of Gaza transit by Israel who choose exile.
