The area is a “dangerous battle zone”. Israel orders residents to evacuate from the city of Rafah in southern Gaza.
The call comes after a night of deadly Israeli flights that have taken at least 19 people’s lives, among them a Hamas leader.
The Israeli evacuation order for the border town of Rafah came at the same time as the military said they had initiated an offensive against “terrorist organizations” in the area of Al-Sultan, according to information published by the military on X.
It is not specified whether Israel has entered with ground soldiers in Rafah.
At the same time, it was announced that at least 19 people were killed in the Israeli flight attack on the land strip. Among them are the Hama top Salah al-Bardawil and his wife. Al-Bardawil, a member of the terror-stamped group’s governing political agency, was killed just outside Khan Yunis.
The flights were mainly directed at southern Gaza. Hospitals in the area report that they have taken care of remains after 17 people, among them women and children, in addition to the Hamas leader and his wife.
Israel resumed its attacks against Gaza during the night until Tuesday, which meant the end of the ceasefire which began on January 19. The Gaza War was triggered by terror -stamped Hamas large -scale attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.
