The Israeli military has begun moving vehicles from central parts of the southern Gaza city of Rafah to the so-called Philadelphia Corridor, the border area with Egypt, Qatar-based Al Jazeera reports.

The information, which is also reported by Hamastrogna media, has not been confirmed by Israel.

The agreed ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is expected to begin on Sunday at 07:30 Swedish time.

Three people are due to be released from Hamas captivity once the ceasefire comes into effect, followed by another 30 hostages in the first phase, which will last six weeks. In exchange, hundreds of Palestinians imprisoned in Israel must be released.

During the ceasefire, significantly more humanitarian aid is to be allowed to flow into Gaza, after a long period in which only smaller shipments have been allowed to arrive. Trucks are reported to be on standby in Egypt to cross the Rafah border crossing as soon as possible.

During the initial phase of the ceasefire, continued negotiations will take place on the two following phases. The goal is to reach a permanent end to the war.
