Hezbollah’s new leader Naim Kasım made a statement. Kasim said, “We are facing a wild group. We will continue to fight with Israel. I will follow Nasrallah’s path and our support for Gaza will continue.”
Here are the highlights from Naim Kasım’s statement:
“WE SAID THESE ATTACKS SHOULD END”
“Israel wants to expand its territory. Can we forget what Israel has done? They have been killing Palestinians and taking away their lands for 75 years. They are attacking our sacred values. The Al-Aqsa Flood was an operation that rejected 75 years of occupation. Israel also entered Lebanon. From 1982 to 2000 They continued the occupation. They wanted to enter Lebanon and occupy it. We expelled Israel from our country with the resistance of Hezbollah. We, as the resistance, the army and the people, continued their attacks against Israel despite the decision no. 1701. We said, ‘There must be an end to these attacks.’ They attacked Lebanon every day from the end of 2006 until last year. They violated our air and sea space 39 thousand times. They were taking photographs and obtaining information.
“WE WILL CONTINUE TO COLLIDE WITH ISRAEL”
It is obligatory for us to stand against them. Yes, standing against them has a price. We are facing a wild group. We will continue to fight with Israel. I will follow Nasrallah’s path and our support for Gaza will continue. The legendary stance of resistance is the representation of dignity and honor. This resistance will establish the future of future generations.
We have always said that we do not want war. Nasrallah also said this. However, we also stated that if a war was declared against us, we would stand against them with all our strength. Hezbollah and Amal are fighting of their own will, for their homeland, the children of Lebanon are fighting. We are not anyone’s proxy, we are not anyone’s project. We are fighting for our own land and people, for our brothers in Palestine. We are fighting so that Israel and the USA do not rule us. We pay the price, we make sacrifices.
“IRAN SUPPORTS US”
We are fighting within our own borders. Iran helps us but has no expectations from us. “We are fighting to liberate Lebanon, not to liberate Iran.”
