Ultra-Orthodox Jews (Haredim) took to the streets in West Jerusalem to protest compulsory military service. The police’s response to the Ultra-Orthodox Jews who were holding a sit-in was very harsh. Israeli police used batons to intervene in the protesters and detained some of the protesters.
Protesters who wanted to raid a military registration office in Jerusalem tried to overcome police obstacles.
Protesters tore down police barriers and overturned trash cans.
