The Israeli army said in a statement that a bomb hit a building where Israeli soldiers were located due to a technical error during an airstrike in the Khan Younis region of the Gaza Strip.
The statement noted that one Israeli soldier was killed and six soldiers were injured, three of them seriously, in the attack.
