Israel’s attacks against Lebanon continue. The Israeli army carried out an air attack on two buildings in the capital Beirut. The Lebanese press reported that the attacks were carried out in the center of Beirut and claimed that Wafiq Safa, the brother-in-law of Hezbollah’s former leader Hasan Nasrallah, was one of Hezbollah’s senior figures.
FATE IS UNKNOWN
The fate of Safa and the number of dead and injured in the attack are not yet known.
2 THOUSAND 141 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES
The Israeli army, which has been continuing controlled clashes with Hezbollah since October 8, 2023, launched hundreds of air strikes on Lebanon’s southern cities as well as the Bekaa and Baalbek regions on September 23.
According to Lebanese Ministry of Health data, a total of 2,141 people, including 104 children and 194 women, have died since October 8, 2023.
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in air strikes by the Israeli army on Beirut on September 27.
Hezbollah responds to Israel with rockets and missiles. No major damage was reported in these attacks, which mostly targeted army bases on the Israeli side.
