According to the newspapers, the information about the attack was received by the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu from the office on Saturday evening.

The message also mentions other planned attacks, but the Swedish embassy is the only one mentioned by name. Netanyahu also told about it on the messaging service X.

According to Netanyahu’s office, together with foreign actors, Israel has obtained a comprehensive and in-depth picture of Hamas’ terrorist activities. It includes, among other things, information about areas of operation and attack targets, as well as the intention to attack the Israeli embassy in Sweden.

Säpo: There are people who feel sympathy for Hamas

According to Netanyahu’s office, a man with connections to Sweden has been planning foreign terrorist attacks in the Hamas organization.

Danish prosecutors said on Friday that seven people are suspected of planning a terrorist attack in the country. Seitsiko is suspected of having connections with the extremist organization Hamas.

Expressen asked the Swedish security police, Säpo, if it was aware of the alleged terrorist attack plan. Säpo did not say whether it was aware of the threat.

However, the security police confirmed to Expressen that there are persons in Sweden who feel sympathy for Hamas.
