Iran praises Shia militia Hezbollah’s attack on Israel.

According to Iran, archenemy Israel has lost the ability to prevent similar attacks.

“The myth of the invincibility of the Israeli army has become an empty slogan,” claimed Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani in a post on X, after Tehran-backed Hezbollah fired hundreds of rockets and drones at northern Israel on Sunday.

“The Israeli terrorist army has lost its effective offensive power and must now defend itself against strategic attacks,” he continues.

Kanani also sharply criticizes the United States for its support for Israel.

According to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, the target of Sunday’s attack was an Israeli military base near Tel Aviv. Before the movement fired any rockets, Israel launched airstrikes into Lebanon, where, according to an Israeli statement, they destroyed “thousands” of Hezbollah’s launch pads.

Hezbollah’s attack was said to be revenge for the death of its leader Fuad Shukr in July.
