Israel has targeted civilians in the Attar area of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that at least 17 people were killed and 26 injured in an airstrike by the Israeli army on the area where the displaced Palestinians were staying.

Reacting to the attack with a post on social media, AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik noted the following:
“We condemn Israel’s bombing of the Khan Younis region in southern Gaza, where thousands of civilians have taken refuge. We strongly condemn the silence of the international community and states that claim to have a rules-based world order when it comes to Israel. Netanyahu and his massacre network will sooner or later be tried for genocide and war crimes.”
On July 13, 90 people were killed and 300 injured in the Israeli attack on the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis, where displaced Palestinians were taking refuge and which had previously been declared a safe zone by Israel.
