Thirty-one Palestinians were killed and dozens injured when Israeli warplanes bombed the field hospital at the Hadija School, where displaced people were taking shelter in the city of Deir Balakh in the central Gaza Strip.
The government’s media office in Gaza said in a statement that Israeli warplanes attacked the field hospital in the Hadidjah School in the city of Deir Balakh.
The statement noted that 31 Palestinians, including children, were killed and dozens were injured in the attack.
In a statement made earlier by the media office, it was reported that Israeli warplanes fired three missiles at the field hospital in the school in question.
The statement pointed out that these “massacres” committed by Israel destroyed the health system and hospitals, leaving them out of service, and emphasized that “the Israeli and US administrations are responsible for the continuation of these massacres targeting displaced people and civilians.”
“There is great pressure on medical teams and the remaining operating rooms due to the lack of health and medical supplies, the closure of border gates to the passage of the wounded and sick, the lack of fuel and the humanitarian situation,” the statement said.
On the other hand, the Israeli army claimed in a statement that it “carried out an attack on a secret Hamas command and control complex” inside the Hadice School campus.
The school targeted by the Israeli army is located in an area it classifies as a “humanitarian zone” in the west of the city of Deir al-Balah, where it had previously called on Palestinians to seek refuge.
