The Israeli armed forces say they carried out airstrikes on the Lebanese side despite the cease-fire declared on Wednesday.

The strikes by the Israeli armed forces targeted fighters and a vehicle of the Hezbollah extremist organization. According to Israel, the targeted fighters were approaching Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon.

The vehicle destroyed by the airstrike is said to have been carrying rocket launchers and ammunition in the southern Sidon area.

In the cease-fire announced on Wednesday, Israel itself reserved the right to strike further into Lebanon if Hezbollah fighters are found to be “arming” for hostilities.

The Israeli Armed Forces uploaded a video related to the attacks to their X account. The authenticity of the video material has not been verified by an impartial source.
