Israel’s response to Iran’s attack earlier this week has received broad support in the United States. Several officials have expressed that the robot attack “must have consequences”, but more retaliatory attacks from Israel may come, reports CNN.
“There are no guarantees”
A senior US State Department official says Israel has not ruled out targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities. In the United States, concerns about an escalating conflict in the area have grown and President Joe Biden has stated that it will not support a possible attack on the facilities.
– We hope and expect to see some wisdom as well as strength, but as you know there are no guarantees, the official told CNN.
According to him, it is difficult to say whether an answer will come on the anniversary of the Hamas terrorist attack in Gaza.

Urges caution
At the same time, he says that the US worked for a year to prevent a major war – but that it is now at the “breaking point”. Deputy Foreign Minister Kurt Campbell also expressed concern during the week.
