The country’s army describes the hostilities on the Lebanese border as having progressed to a new phase.

Israel is calling two additional reserve brigades to the country’s northern border to perform operational duties, the Israeli army announced on Wednesday.
– This enables the continuation of the fight against the Hezbollah terrorist organization, the defense of the State of Israel, and creates the conditions for the residents of northern Israel to return to their homes, the army’s statement says.
Wednesday’s announcement follows Israel’s numerous airstrikes in Lebanon in recent days, targeting the extremist organization Hezbollah’s targets across the country.
The head of the Israeli army’s Northern Command, Maj.-Gen Stallion Gordin according to which the hostilities in the northern part of the country have now progressed to a new phase, which is why Israel must be ready for “movement and action”.
However, the army’s statement does not specify whether the new phase of hostilities refers to a possible ground attack on southern Lebanon.
