Israel carried out an airstrike on the city of Palmyra in central Syria.
According to the Syrian Ministry of Defense, at least 36 people have been killed in Israeli strikes on the city of Palmyra on Wednesday.
According to the ministry’s statement, Israel carried out an air attack from the direction of al-Tanf area, which targeted several buildings in Palmyra.
In addition to the fatalities, more than 50 people were injured in the attacks, according to the ministry. In addition, the strikes were said to have caused significant material damage.
There are some Iranian-backed military forces operating in Syria, against which Israel conducts regular airstrikes.
