Israel urges its citizens to avoid unnecessary travel to the United Arab Emirates.
Israel announced on Sunday that it will investigate an Israeli rabbi found dead in the United Arab Emirates by Zvi Kogan incident as an anti-Semitic act of terrorism. According to the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office and the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the authorities of the United Arab Emirates have found the body of a rabbi who had been missing since Thursday.
The rabbi also had Moldovan citizenship. He served as the ambassador of the ultra-orthodox congregation in the United Arab Emirates.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office warned Israelis against traveling to the United Arab Emirates, while urging those already in the country to take extra precautions.
The UAE will normalize its relations with Israel in 2020, as will several other Arab countries. However, the war in Gaza has greatly increased anti-Semitism throughout the Middle East.
