Israel allegedly carried out deadly attack on civilian homes

Israel has bombed the city of Rafah, killing nearly 30 Palestinians.

At least 25 people were killed in the Israeli attack on a civilian building in the city of Rafah, according to AP news agency reporters who were there. In addition, at least three people were killed in the second attack.

Journalists say they saw bodies being transported to two nearby hospitals.

The city of Rafah is located in the southern part of Gaza, and Israel has asked the Palestinians to seek shelter there. Israel has continuously bombarded the area in recent days, claiming to strike armed targets, but often killing large numbers of civilians.

The UN Security Council is expected today to vote on the draft resolution to establish a cease-fire in Gaza so that humanitarian aid could be brought to the area.

The proposal for a resolution was supposed to be voted on yesterday, but this did not happen because no agreement was reached on the text of the document during the negotiations.

A week and a half ago, the US vetoed a previous resolution calling for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire. The negotiations are trying to get the US to abstain or vote in favor of the proposal.
