Two workers, whose faces turned red and showed signs of poisoning while spraying chemicals, were brought to Avcılar Murat Kölük State Hospital in Gümüşpala District at around 19.30. While the workers were being processed in the emergency room, some other patients in the service also experienced facial and eye redness.
Thereupon, emergency room doctors were informed. The patient and their relatives who came for examination in the emergency room were evacuated in a short time.
The workers and those affected by them were kept under observation in the quarantine room as ‘isolated patients’. It was also decided to refer patients to more developed hospitals.
HEALTH WORKERS WEAR SPECIAL PROTECTIVE CLOTHING
While the officials were cleaning and ventilation work in the emergency room, those who were poisoned by chemical drugs were sent to various hospitals by ambulances. It was seen that the medical staff in the ambulances assigned to transfer the patients wore special protective clothing.
While the poisoned patients were transferred to other hospitals, civilian vehicles were completely stopped entering the hospital garden.
While the officials were trying to prevent images from being taken, it was announced that the patients and their relatives, who were kept in the garden of the State Hospital, would be taken to the ward later.
