Ahead of the 2020 season, IFK Norrköping chose to include Abdulrazaq Ishaq in the squad.
Even then, the club was sure that the midfielder would be sold on.
Despite the winter’s speculations, it was only during the summer break that a deal was completed.
Ishaq’s new club address: Belgian Anderlecht, where the former IFK Norrköping and national team player Kristoffer Olsson plays.
“I started my professional career in IFK Norrköping and it is something I will carry with me forever, to be able to wear white and blue has been a privilege. I have developed into the football player I am today thanks to IFK”, says he to the Allsvenskan club’s website.
“This is a big step for me, which I am very proud of. I want to show as quickly as possible that I am worthy to play in the team and I look forward to meeting my teammates and fans,” he told Anderlecht’s website.
Abdulrazaq Ishaq has signed a four-year contract and according to Norrköpings Tidningar IFK Norrköping should have received around SEK 40 million.
Even before the official presentation, coach Rikard Norling was of the opinion that the club is in need of reinforcements.
– We are a bunch who are good but we are not as many as we can demand to deliver at the Allsvenskan level. That is probably our challenge here in the short term, and that we will hopefully get it right, he told NT this weekend.
