Isabelle Ithurburu therefore joins the first channel and will also present “Le Mag de la Coupe du monde” of rugby, for this 2023 edition. Previously, the 40-year-old journalist specializing in rugby had cut her teeth in “La matinale sport” then in the “Canal Rugby Club”. She should take up her new position at TF1 in September 2023.
Short biography of Isabelle Ithurburu – Elected Miss Pau-Béarn in 2001, Isabelle Ithurburu took part in the musical TV show “La Nouvelle Star” on M6 in 2007 for the fifth season. She is one of the last ten finalists. For the occasion, she sings live at the Pavillon Baltard, the song Butterfly by the group Superbus. After studying international business, Isabelle Ithurburu joined Infosport++, the Canal+ sports news channel, in 2009. She presents several magazines: “Sports Dimanche” and “L’Édition du soir” then “La matinale sports”. But it is thanks to rugby that the Bearnaise breaks through, hosting the “Canal Rugby Club” from 2021 to 2023. She will be the presenter of “50 minutes inside” from September 2023.
Isabelle Ithurburu has been a supporter of the Section Pau rugby club since her childhood. It was there that she met her husband, the Argentinian rugby player Gonzalo Quesada. When world Cup in 2011, she co-hosted with Eric Bayle the “Jour de Coupe du monde” program on weekends on Canal+. In 2012, she replaced Darren Tulett at the presentation of “Samedi Sport” and continued to manage “Les Décodeurs” on Inforsport+.
