Isabelle Haak can title herself Champions League champion for the second time in her career. The Swede accounted for the most points of any player when Conegliano won the all-Italian final against Volley Milano 3–2 in sets.
The blue-yellow volleyball star Isabelle Haak won her first Champions League title with Turkish side Vakifbank two years ago, a club she subsequently left for Conegliano.

– It feels fantastic, I am so proud of my team and everyone in the club for this season in general. I think we really deserved to finish like this, says Haak in Aftonbladet’s TV broadcast.

It was a long final thriller in Turkish Antalya, where Conegliano started best and won the first set 25–14. Milano countered and won the second narrowly, 25–23, before Haak’s gang re-tightened the grip by taking the third set 25–19.
Milano then won the fourth by the same numbers to take the match to a fifth and decisive set.

Uncertain future
24-year-old spiker Haak was the top scorer on the pitch (23 points), but her Conegliano – who earlier in the season beat Milan in the finals of both the Italian Cup and the Super Cup – were pressed hard.
However, there was a jolt in the tiebreaker when Conegliano went ahead 10-6 after winning four straight balls – and then Haak’s yellow-clad gang never relinquished the initiative.

After 15–9 in the fifth set, Conegliano could celebrate the club’s second title in the Champions League. The first came three years ago. In this superb season, in addition to the three cup titles, they have also won the Italian league.
For Isabelle Haak, the contract with Conegliano expires as the season is over. The Skåne superstar has not revealed what happens next.
– It is not official what will happen next season yet. It will be official at the end of the season, she said before the CL final.
