Poland continues to take action against the threat posed by the Wagner mercenary presence in Belarus. Reinforcements of 1000 soldiers were sent to the Belarusian border.
POLAND IS CONCERNED
In NATO member Poland, there is growing concern about the Russian mercenary group Wagner. Tensions on the Belarusian border are increasing day by day. Poland pressed the button to increase security measures. Polish border guards had requested the defense ministry to send reinforcements to the Belarusian border. It has been announced by the Ministry of Defense that 1000 soldiers will be deployed to the Belarusian border, with their requests being met.
Wagner forces, which marched to Moscow in June and caused a crisis in Russia, were deployed to Belarus after an agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Poland, on the other hand, is worried about Wagner, whose military presence in Belarus is getting stronger. According to Polish media, violence is taking place in the border region. The intelligence report of the British Ministry of Defense proved that the Wagner troops in Belarus numbered thousands in a short time.
The mercenaries had settled in a military camp in the flooded center of Belarus. The fate of the heavy weapons and equipment used by Wagner in Ukraine remains uncertain.
WAGNER IS USED TO TEACH
Russia and Belarus continue to use Wagner as a tong to intimidate Poland.
Russian leader Putin, in his statement that he openly threatened Poland, used the expressions, “The west of Poland is a gift from Stalin, if our friends in Warsaw have forgotten this, we will remind you.”
After Putin’s scandalous statements, Warsaw announced that it would respond to possible attacks.
Belarusian leader Lukashenko, using the same tone as Putin, said, “I can hardly hold Wagner. They want to go west. They say, ‘Let’s take a tour to Warsaw’.” said.
