The Israeli army, which struck the surroundings of Rafah, the only gateway of the Gaza Strip to the world, to prevent international aid from reaching the city, also bombed Khan Yunus and Nusayrat Refugee Camp.
The Gaza Strip, one of the most densely populated regions in the world, hosts 2.3 million Palestinians in an area of approximately 360 square meters.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Hamas’s armed wing, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, launched a comprehensive attack on Israel on the morning of October 7, called the “Aqsa Flood”.
While thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza towards Israel, Palestinian armed groups raided and seized the Beit Hanun-Erez Border Gate on the Gaza-Israel border.

It was reported that 1,300 Israelis lost their lives and 3,300 Israelis were injured in the attacks carried out from Gaza.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that 1,417 people lost their lives and 6,268 people were injured in Gaza in Israel’s attacks.
It was also stated that 31 Palestinians died and approximately 180 people were injured in the attacks of Israeli forces and Jewish settlers in the West Bank.
