Is the Fast Furious replacement Stray Ball 2 worth

The French action film Stray Bullet 2 has shot up to number 3 on the Netflix charts since it was released. If you find the German title trashy, you shouldn’t be put off as a genre fan. Just like its predecessor Stray Ball, the cracker is packed with fast-paced Fast & Furious car chases and brutal brawls based on the John Wick model. But how good is the result?

Action mix of Fast & Furious and John Wick: Netflix hit Lost Ball 2 inspires fans

Lost Ball 2 connects almost seamlessly to its predecessor. Uber Mechanic Lino (Alban Lenoir) wants revenge on the gangsters who have his brother and mentor on their conscience. Together with policewoman Julia (Stefi Celma) he hunts down drug dealers on the Franco-Spanish border.

Like part 1, director Guillaume Pierret stages the story as a mix of Fast & Furious adrenaline with James Bond car games and breathless fight choreographies. They don’t fail to have an effect on genre fans, as can be read on review sites and IMDb.

Everyone who already enjoyed part 1 and who likes hard-hitting action, should definitely take a look at Stray Ball 2. If you expect complex characters or revolutionary new story paths, you will probably be disappointed.
