Warning, spoilers for Ant-Man 3 and Loki: The face of Jonathan Majors is something Marvel fans will be seeing more and more of in the MCU in the near future. In Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania he plays the particularly nasty conqueror Kang – and other surprising variants. Because he is just one of many versions of the time travel villain that roam the multiverse.
The Marvel series Loki is already returning this summer with the second season, which is intended to let Tom Hiddleston’s god of practical jokes (and time agents) meet several variants of Kang. There might even be a reunion with the Quantumania villain. A clever time travel twist make it possible.
Exciting Kang Theory: Loki Season 2 tells the backstory of the conqueror from Quantumania
That Ant-Man 3 and Loki linked together are already made clear by the post-credit scene of the new MCU blockbuster. But the connection could be much deeper apart from new Kang variants. The Kang from Quantumania could make a reappearance in the upcoming season of Loki.
Kang the Conqueror appears at the end of Quantumania by Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) killed to have become But a return is not impossible. The end of the first season Loki already paved the way for the big surprise.

Will Loki meet the Kang from Quantumania?
In the season premiere finale, Loki landed in an alternate reality where the Time Variance Authority or the TVA officially directed by a Kang variant becomes. We don’t see her in person, only in the form of a statue. This looks very similar to the conqueror and could represent a younger version of him.
In Ant-Man 3 we learn that Kang drew the wrath of his variants and was cast or imprisoned by them into the quantum plane (beyond time and space). His deliberately vague backstory could actually be explored in more detail in Loki Season 2 and end where Quantumania begins.
For Kang is Time is not a linear construct. So what could be more fitting for the story of the multiverse villain than a non-linear storytelling with time jumps and time loops? Thanks to Kang, the MCU has a chance to build a level of complexity never before seen in this tightly-knit universe of movies and series.
Kang and the TVA: how does that fit together?
In Loki Season 1, it was revealed that the TVA was secretly run by the variant called The One Who Stays. the aim was to protect the True Timeline and erase parallel realities. The one that stays was the last existing Kang variant, which ended a war among the Kangs thanks to a self-created time loop and reduced the multiverse to one universe. And then he was killed.
Loki’s female variant Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) brought back the chaotic multiverse and countless Kang variants with her actions. Now there is the question, why the TVA continues to exist. And what is your new boss’s goal?

In Ant-Man 3, we learn that long ago, the Conqueror was shocked to see the havoc his variants wreaked. To prevent the complete destruction of all realitieshe seized power over the multiverse himself.
He destroyed many of his variants and universes before the remaining Kangs fought him. For example, the conqueror trimmed the worlds of his alternate incarnations with the help of the TVA? Because basically he was pursuing the same goal as the one who stays.
The Time Variance Authority has a lot of influence on the passage of time and thus also control over the multiverse. Maybe too much power. Should a younger version of Conqueror-Kang actually be presented as the head of the TVA, this would not only be consistent with his portrayed past, but would also explain why the Council of Kangs feared him so much.
Kang’s history leaves many questions unanswered. And Loki Season 2 would be the ideal opportunity to answer them.
