The star player of the Finnish national basketball team Lauri Markkanen the incredible feats in the European Championships have driven Finns wild.
On Sunday, Markkanen really impressed when he led Susijeng to the quarter-finals of the European Championship with his 43 points, when Finland beat Croatia. It was the Finnish national team’s all-time record for points in one match.
Has Markkanen even become Finland’s biggest sports star with his wins at the European Championships?
The answer to this is sought in ‘s survey, for which 20 candidates have been selected based on sports success and Sponsor Insight’s research.
In Sponsor Insight’s annual Sponsor Navigator survey published in April 2022, Markkanen was the 18th most followed athlete in Finland. Cross-country skier Iivo Niskanen took first place.
