Hogwarts Legacy gives Harry Potter fans of all ages the chance to explore the open world version of the fantasy school for the first time. Students go to one of Hogwarts’ famous houses, master all kinds of magic and find themselves in the middle of all kinds of wild magical adventures.
So is Hogwarts Legacy multiplayer?
As of now, Hogwarts Legacy fully single player It provides an experience. This is something by design. Because since the game’s first marketing material appeared online, developer Avalanche Software has been extremely clear that the game is not designed for any kind of co-op or online gameplay.
But thanks to mod developers There is still hope for a multiplayer gaming experience at Hogwarts, too. The game is still in its early days, but HogWarp An ongoing mode called Hogwarts Legacy aims to allow cooperative play for up to eight players. The mod is being worked on by Together Team, a mod team that has successfully brought multiplayer gameplay to Bethesda’s popular fantasy RPG Skyrim in the past through a project called Skyrim Together.
“Our goal is to figure out how to do the basics like the player’s appearance, animations, and NPCs as well as characters spawn,” mod producer Yamashi said in an interview. “We will not create any multiplayer-specific content ourselves; We want to provide a stable framework for people to enjoy their game and maybe expand it themselves later on.” he added.
Team Together has also released a video of the mod’s test build just days after the official Hogwarts Legacy release.
Yamashi is currently working on the mod alone, but other modders are reportedly taking the opportunity to join the project. A test build of the mod is available for Yamashi’s Patreon subscribers, but the mod maker has warned anyone waiting to “find something very simple and faulty” at this point. A more complete version of the mod may be available in a few months.
