In 2001 we were able to experience Renée Zellweger for the first time as a Bridget Jones on the cinema screen. The adaptation of Helen Fielding’s novel has become a british cultural asset and has followed three sequels over the past 24 years – of which the custody houses are currently crazy about him in Germany.
According to Part 4, however, the inevitable question arises as to whether fans have seen the last canvas adventure of the unique TV producer and her romantic escapades. The answer is not easy.
Renée Zellweger hopes for Bridget Jones 5 – and the numbers make it optimistic
As Renée Zellweger revealed to the BBC at the end of January, she hope that the end for Bridget Jones had not yet come with crazy about him. So she explained that she could not yet admit what could the film to be moved into cinemas for the series: “Let me live a little longer.”
Author Helen Fielding, who previously brought three Bridget Jones novels into the booksheln, also stood up to another sequel. So she had a diplomatic said: “Never say.”
If Bridget Jones 4 becomes a brilliant success at the box office, it is quite possible that the makers: inside, including Zellweger and Fielding, want to build here again. In Germany, the romantic comedy has so far been able to attract around 345,000 people to the cinemas, according to Inidenkino, and in Great Britain alone the film has already taken over $ 45 million (via Box Office Mojo).
In the USA, however, Bridget Jones 4 did not start in cinemas, but directly in the streaming program at Peacock. It remains to be seen for the time being how this change will affect the final success of the romantic comedy.
Opinion:
A Bridget Jones continuation makes sense for the series only to a limited extent
Anyone who has seen Bridget Jones 4 will know that the story about the British chaos bundle has more than less graduated here.
Attention, spoilers for Bridget Jones 4: Because in it Bridget learns to deal with the death of her husband Mark (Colin Firth) and get involved with a new love. Your self and many other known characters around Daniel Cleever (Hugh Grant) and Co. is given a happy ending before the credits will provide us with nostalgic pictures from 24 years of Bridget Jones story.
