The police series Blue Bloods – Crime Scene New York has been running on the US broadcaster CBS since 2010. Nowadays that is not so obvious at all. Especially in the streaming age, many series don’t last longer than three seasons. Blue Bloods has built a loyal following over the past few years.
The reports at the beginning of the year when CBS announced its plans to produce the series were all the more surprising no longer continue. After 14 seasons it should be over. There was protest not only from the fans. Some Blue Bloods stars also campaigned for season 15, especially leading actor Tom Selleck.

As Deadline reports, CBS presented its program for the next TV season in the USA yesterday – and one name did not appear among the renewed series: Blue Bloods. This means that the broadcaster sticks to its decision. The Reagan family era is definitely coming to an end. There will be no season 15 of Blue Bloods.

However, Amy Reisenbach, the entertainment president at CBS, emphasized the importance of the series. Blue Bloods shaped CBS programming for over a decade. Now the fans should worthy farewell made possible by the series. She also thanks those involved who have put years of their lives into Blue Bloods:

Blue Bloods season 14 will be released in two parts in the US. The first half started on February 16, 2024 and includes a total of ten episodes. The second half should be from October to December 2024 run and bring the Reagan saga to a close with another eight episodes.
The Blue Bloods finale should arrive on CBS shortly before Christmas. This could be a very touching last family meal. When the 14th season starts in Germany, is yet unknown.
