The Better Call Saul makers have no more Breaking Bad series planned
Unfortunately, the words of series creator Vince Gilligan sound very sobering (via Deadline):
You can’t put all your money on the same horse. You have to know when to leave the party. I don’t have anything else planned in the Breaking Bad universe right now. I must prove to myself that I have something else inside me.
Co-creator also spoke of “other things“, which he still wants to try, but also explained: “Never say Never. Who knows how we will feel about this in a few years.”
So for the moment there is no new development on the Breaking Bad horizon. There would be enough characters for spin-offs in Better Call Saul and the mother series. But both have always benefited from a unique creative eye for the essential. you to continue without thought of necessity, will seem inappropriate even to many big fans. As long as Gilligan and Gould feel the same way, a sequel is questionable.
