Blizzard’s New Project: The Perfect Blend of RPG and FPS?
One of the bad news we heard at the beginning of the year following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard was the cancellation of the studio’s in-development and unannounced survival game. These hints suggest that the studio is working on a hybrid RPG and FPS. What’s more, it looks like this game will be a big-budget production for both PC and consoles.

A piece of information on the LinkedIn page of Blizzard’s Senior Director of Product Management, Chris McCabe, sheds light on this mysterious project. McCabe states on his page that he is working on an “unannounced AAA RPG-FPS game.”
The company has worked on similar projects before, but some of them never saw the light of day. For example, the studio developed Titan The MMO shooter game called was canceled, but the foundations of this game were later Overwatch Perhaps this new RPG-FPS hybrid could be an extension of the canceled survival game or a completely new concept.
