Game stop: Saturday 30/4, 15:59
1. Leeds – Manchester City, 2
Leeds has had a weak season, and is the team that has conceded the second most goals in the Premier League. The change of coach from Marcelo Bielsa to Jesse Marsch was sad in many ways, but has actually had a clear effect on the team’s results. March started with two losses, but has since taken eleven points in five games.
Manchester City goes for the league title, and does not lose many points. Even though Leeds are on the hook right now, we have a hard time seeing City sabotage points against bottom teams five rounds away from the league title. We nail the 2nd, without blinking.
2 Aston Villa – Norwich, 1X2
Aston Villa’s season has been a lot of ups and downs, lately mostly down. When Steven Gerrard took over, they got a lift, but at the moment they are one point ahead of the last five and they are slipping closer and closer to the relegation line. But with eight points to spare and only five rounds left, you should be okay.
Norwich is last, with 10 points from safe ground. They are virtually written off from next season’s Premier League, but will not give up until it is definitely over. Here we see a chance that you can bark, against a very weak Aston Villa. We choose to guard the weekend, and keep our fingers crossed for the barking.
3 Southampton – Crystal Palace, 1X
Neither Southampton nor Crystal Palace have anything directly to play for like this at the end of the season, and in such matches the cross is always close at hand. But due to higher basic quality, home ground and a slightly stronger form, we also include the 1st. We play 1X.
4 Watford – Burnley, 12
Roy Hodgson was hired on the verge of the impossible task of rescuing Watford in the Premier League. If he succeeds, he gets a big, promised bonus. With five rounds left, and nine points up to safe ground, however, it will be difficult. Here they are up against a reborn Burnley, which has had an effect from the change of coach and is in 17th place. Should there be any chance of a new contract, victory is required here. We guard against the power of desperation, and play 12.
5 Wolves – Brighton, 1
Wolverhampton Wanderers host Brighton & Hove Albion, where Wolves are the only team with anything to play for. The team can still reach European place, if you finish strong. Brighton, on the other hand, is in the middle of no man’s land. The Wolves won the last time they played against Brighton, and we think they will beat Graham Potter’s men again. We singles 1st.
6 Blackburn – Bournemouth, 2
Blackburn are chasing a playoff spot, while Bournemouth are trying to defend their top spot. In their last match, Bournemouth picked up 0-3 to 3-3, which was proof of strong morale. In addition, Blackburn have not been so strong this spring, and we believe Bournemouth will take a victory here. The 2nd is allowed to stand alone.
7 Nottingham Forest – Swansea, 1
Nottingham Forest is fighting for promotion, and is set against a Swansea with nothing to play for. Nottingham also play at home, and are a stronger team than Swansea. In terms of form, Nottingham comes from three straight victories, and Swansea from three straight crosses. When the teams met last autumn, Nottingham won 4-1.
Everything speaks for Nottingham here, and we nail the 1st.
8 Middlesbrough – Stoke, 1
Just like in match number 7, we have a strong home team here that is chasing promotion, while the away team is slightly worse and has nothing to play for. Stoke also tend to have a hard time away against home-strong Middlesbrough. We single the 1st, again.
9 Bristol City – Hull, 1X
Bristol and Hull are in place 17 and 18, and have neither a chance of promotion nor any risk of leaving. We feel that the cross is close at hand, in a match between two teams with nothing to play for. The teams also crossed paths when they met last autumn. However, Bristol is a slightly stronger team, plays at home and has four straight without a loss. We guard with the 1st.
10 Cardiff – Birmingham, X2
Another insignificant match between two teams without anything to play for. Lately, Cardiff in particular have been mediocre, and the team comes from four straight losses. Then we are surprised that people are listed as favorites here, and choose to go against. We play X2, at good value.
11 Coventry – Huddersfield, 1
Coventry have had a good season, although it will not be enough to advance to the Premier League. Here they make their last home game of the season, and after having made a strong spring, we do not see it as impossible that they manage to disrupt a Huddersfield that will not be able to reach a direct place in the PL. The odds give us the favorite 40-29-31, while the people played 36-26-38. For these numbers, it is rarely stupid to bet on the odds favorite – singleta!
12 Millwall – Peterborough, 1
Millwall must win their last two games to have the slightest chance of the playoffs, while Peterborough are already ready for relegation. At home against hopeless Peterborough, you should succeed, and here it will be a new single for us.
13 Reading – West Brom, X2
Reading and West Brom have both been disappointing this season, and with two games left to play, neither team has anything to play for. Difficult to tip, as always in insignificant matches, but West Brom is the slightly stronger team. We play X2.
