Irish tourist dead in Magaluf – had bite marks on his body

It was on Monday that the man was on holiday with his family. According to the newspaper Mirror he should have spent the afternoon by the pool before the family went out on the town. On the way there, the man allegedly went the wrong way and got separated from his wife and children.

A little while later, a law enforcement officer found the man collapsed on a bar street.

Believed to have been hit

Resuscitation attempts were made, without success in saving his life. Initially, the man was thought to have suffered a heart attack. But later there were signs that something else caused his death.

An autopsy of the man’s body found injuries to the legs and a wound with glass in the skin, indicating that he had been run over by a car.

– The injuries do not appear to be the cause of death, but they have opened the possibility that his death may not be an accident, a police source in Magaluf told the Mirror.

Mysterious bite marks

On the man’s body, bite marks could also be identified on the arm and shoulder. What caused them is currently unclear.

– The investigators do not currently know if the bite marks are connected to the accident, the police source told the Mirror.

Now they await the results of a more thorough autopsy to see if the man’s death is due to a heart attack, car accident or if the man was the victim of a crime. Among other things, the police are going through surveillance footage to find the driver who hit him and see if there was an altercation that could explain the bite marks.
