Ireland beats Scotland without shining and retains its title

Ireland won against Scotland (17-13) at the end of a closed match in front of their home crowd, this Saturday March 16 at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, and thus retained their title in the Tournament. Put in difficulty during the first period, the Irish then largely dominated the second act against the Scots, despite a lack of edge which prevented them from really widening the gap. The XV du Chardon even almost came back to the score at the very end of the match thanks to a solo try scored by Huw Jones. Ireland wins its sixth title since the competition moved to six nations in 2000. Only England, the last team to achieve the double in 2016 and 2017, has one more.
