Iraqi Parliament Turkmen Group Chairman and Iraqi Turkmen Front (ITC) Deputy Erşat Salihi announced that the Kirkuk Defense Force is on alert in the region.
Sharing the images taken with the Turkmen soldiers, Salihi said, “Let the friend rejoice, the enemy be afraid. Kirkuk is even safer under the control of our Turkmen warriors in our Kirkuk Defense Force. In this chaos in Iraq, the brave Turkmen who are on duty to prevent Kirkuk from being affected. CONFLICT RISE IN IRAQ
The ongoing clashes with heavy weapons in the Green Zone in Baghdad between the supporters of Muqtada es-Sadr, the leader of the Sadr Movement in Iraq, and the security forces accelerated.
Intense clashes are taking place between the security forces and the militias affiliated with Sadr in the Green Zone. Mortars and other heavy weapons are also used in conflicts. It was stated that there were injured people among the security forces and people loyal to Sadr.
On the other hand, in the local media, it was stated that after the mortar shells fell in the Green Zone, where the sound of gunfire continued, sirens sounded at the US Embassy in Baghdad. The United Nations (UN) Mission Representation in Iraq called on the parties to stay away from armed conflict and violence.
