Iraq said Thursday that it has yet to announce a date for the U.S.-led multinational force to leave the country.
According to the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, the announcement of the departure date is postponed due to “recent developments”.
Iraq is a military partner of both the United States and Iran at the same time.
There are currently around 2,500 American soldiers serving in the country, as well as numerous Iranian-backed armed forces with links to the Iraqi armed forces.
