In Iran, the Revolutionary Guard has started military exercises, which will continue until Tuesday. Warfare is being practiced in Kermānšāh province near the border with Iraq.

On Sunday, Iran’s state news agency Irna reported on the exercises that started on Friday.

According to the representative of the Revolutionary Guard, the military exercises are organized to increase the combat readiness of the troops and improve vigilance. In Iran, the Revolutionary Guard is a parallel military organization to the country’s armed forces, with an estimated strength of 190,000 men.

It is not known how many troops are participating in the exercises currently underway. The United States declared the Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization in 2019, and Sweden took the same line last year.

Iran’s actions are closely monitored

Iran is practicing warfare while the country’s leadership has vowed to take revenge on Israel for the Hamas leader to Ismail Haniyeh killing.

Haniyehi was killed late last month in Tehran, the capital of Iran.

Israel has neither denied nor admitted responsibility for the attack, which is feared to push the Middle East to the brink of a larger war.

According to the Iranian media, the deputy commander of the Revolutionary Guards Ali Fadavi said on Friday that the instructions of Iran’s spiritual leader are clear and that they will be carried out “in the best possible way”.

Iran’s supreme leader, the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has demanded severe punishment and revenge for Israel for Haniyeh’s death.
