A group that works for Kurdish rights, Hengaw, accuses Iranian police of having seriously injured a 16-year-old girl in Tehran’s subway, reports the AFP news agency.

The girl is said to have ended up in a coma and in hospital after being confronted by female police officers tasked with enforcing morals and dress codes.

Authorities say the girl passed out from low blood pressure and that police have nothing to do with her condition.
