Iran warns of consequences

Now Iran warns of consequences of Israeli attacks on Lebanon.

“Any ill-considered actions by the Zionist regime can lead to increasing instability, insecurity and war in the region,” says Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani, reports AFP.

Kanani accuses Israel of placing the blame for the attack on Hezbollah in an attempt to divert attention from the war in Gaza.

After a rocket attack on the Israeli-annexed Golan Heights, which killed at least twelve young people, Israel has responded with attacks “deep inside Lebanese territory and in southern Lebanon.” The targets are said to belong to Iran-backed Hezbollah, which Israel blames for the attack. Hezbollah has denied responsibility for that rocket fire.
