Iran is preparing to attack Israel in the next few days, ahead of the November 5 US presidential election. This is stated by two Israeli sources Axios.
According to the same sources, the attack can be carried out from Iraq with a large number of drones and ballistic missiles.
Even a high-ranking Iranian source states CNN that Iran is planning a “definitive and painful” response that is likely to take place before the election.
The sources did not specify an exact date for the attack, according to the paper.
The attack is believed to come in response to Israel’s attack on Iran on October 25, which was the first time Israel openly acknowledged an attack on Iranian targets. During the attack, several military targets were hit – a revenge for the Iranian attack on Israel on October 1, Israel said at the time.
“Made a mistake”
Neither Iran nor Israel have commented on the data.
The commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, Hossein Salami, said on Thursday that Israel made a mistake when it attacked Iran last week. He emphasized that Iran’s response will be something other than “any scenario” that Israel can expect.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has said that Israel’s attack on the country “would neither be exaggerated nor belittled”.
