The advance of anti-regime groups in Syria continues at full speed. While some important points were captured, anti-regime armed groups gained control of 18 more settlements. Anti-regime groups advancing in Hama are clashing with regime forces 6 kilometers outside the city center. On the other hand, the Assad regime is also evacuating banks and exchange offices in Hama.
“IF THERE IS A REQUEST FOR MILITARY FORCE, WE WILL EVALUATE THIS REQUEST”
While Russia sent a message of support to Syria, a remarkable message also came from Iran. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi said in an interview with the Qatar press that he plans to visit Russia to evaluate the situation in Syria after his visits to Damascus and Ankara. Arakchi said, “If the Syrian government requests military force from Iran, we will evaluate this request. We are making preparations to calm the situation in Syria and create an opportunity for a permanent solution.”
“WE ALWAYS TRY TO SOLVE IT THROUGH CONSULTATION AND DIALOGUE”
Addressing the relations between Tehran and Ankara, Arakçi said, “We always try to resolve our differences with Türkiye through consultation and dialogue. “The expansion of the activities of terrorist groups in Syria will probably harm Syria’s neighboring countries, Iraq, Jordan and Turkey, more than Iran,” he said.
“IRAN PROVIDES HELP WHEN THEY NEED IT”
Arakchi stated that he found the Syrian administration’s condition for the withdrawal of Turkish forces from the country reasonable for the meeting between Syrian President Bashar Assad and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and said, “Iran neither manages the resistance groups in the region nor has an organizational bond with them. However, he supports their struggle and helps them when they need it.”
