iPhone owners beware You cant go back anymore

The iOS 15.1 update brought many innovations to iPhones. COVID-19 vaccine certificate support for the Wallet app, SharePlay on FaceTime, and ProRes support for iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max users were a few of the features that came. The update, which was released to all users in late October, also brought the option to manually disable the macro mode on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. After iOS 15.1, the iOS 15.1.1 update was released for iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models. However, it seems that Apple has made a new decision for the iOS 15.1 version.

iOS 15.1 DECISION FROM APPLE

According to 9to5Mac, Apple has stopped signing iOS 15.1. Thus, the way back to iOS 15.1 was closed for users who upgraded to iOS 15.1.1. In short, if you have the iOS 15.1.1 update installed on your iPhone, you can no longer revert to iOS 15.1.

If you have encountered serious problems with the iOS 15.1.1 version, unfortunately, you will now have to wait for the next update instead of switching to iOS 15.1. In addition, it should be noted that users who upgraded to iOS 15.2 beta will no longer be able to return to iOS 15.1.

THE DECISION IS NOT AMAZING

This move by Apple is not new or unusual. Because the tech giant from Cupertino regularly stops signing old versions of software updates after new versions are released to encourage their customers to keep their operating systems up to date. This is mostly due to the company’s policy of keeping its ecosystem updated.
