The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus still offer a 60Hz refresh rate. Unfortunately, users will need to upgrade to the 16 Pro series for 120Hz.
Apple’s ProMotion technology for displays offering a 120Hz refresh rateas we said above, is only available on the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max models. The 16 and 16 Plus models feature Super Retina XDR displays with a 60 Hz refresh rate, like the 15 and 15 Plus. Apple itself says the following about the iPhone 16s: “Apple today announced the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, featuring a custom-designed A18 chip and new camera features that raise the bar on what iPhone can do.
