iPhone 15 Pro Models Said to Have Titanium Frame, Touch Buttons and Increased RAM

According to tech analyst Jeff Pu apple‘s new generation iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro MaxIt will have many new features such as a titanium bezel, solid-state buttons with haptic feedback, and increased RAM.

In a research note today for Hong Kong investment firm Haitong International Securities, Pu outlined his expectations for the iPhone 15 series, which he says will include the 6.1-inch iPhone 15, 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus, 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Specifically, he expects the Pro models to feature a titanium bezel and solid-state volume and power buttons with haptic feedback from two extra Taptic Engines. It also expects 6 GB of RAM in iPhone 14 Pro models to be 8 GB in Pro models.

All three of these specs have already been rumored for the iPhone 15 Pro models by leaker “ShrimpApplePro” and other sources like analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

While Pu says the iPhone 15 Pro models will be powered by the A17 Bionic chip produced by TSMC’s 3nm process, he expects the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus to be equipped with the A16 Bionic chip and 6GB of RAM. All four models were said to feature a USB-C port and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X70 modem for 5G and LTE.

According to a common rumor, Pu expects the telephoto lens on the iPhone 15 Pro Max to feature periscope technology for increased optical zoom. Pu expects a 48-megapixel rear camera lens on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, just like the iPhone 14 Pro models.

Pu remains cautious about the stock prices of many companies in Apple’s supply chain, based on “the latest supply chain controls and insights on the tech industry.” Pu believes Apple’s product momentum is “weakening” and expects shipments of iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch and AirPods to decline year-over-year in 2023.

Pu has a mixed track record of predicting Apple’s future plans, but much of the information he shares about the iPhone 15 models today has been rumored before. Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 15 series in September as usual.
