iPhone 15 models may come with a 48MP main camera

non pro iPhone 14 The lineup has been a bit of a disappointment as it comes with the same old 12MP cameras, among other complaints. Haitong Intl Tech Research‘skin Jeff PuAccording to a report from , this may change in the next generation, as the regular iPhone 15 series will get 48MP triple sensors in its main cameras.

This will give regular phones better zoom capabilities, but telephoto lenses will remain exclusive to more expensive models (Pro versions).

In fact, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to have a 6x periscope lens in addition to the 3x tele lens. Also, the new Pros should upgrade to 3nm Apple A17 chipsets (and jump from 6GB to 8GB RAM), while the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will only upgrade to existing A16 chips.

All four models are expected to feature USB-C ports to accommodate the upcoming change in EU regulations. But there will still be a difference between them – Ming-Chi Kuo says only the Pros will have USB 3.2 speeds (so their regular models will be limited to USB 2.0 like all iPhones at the moment).

Other expected differences are titanium cases (rather than stainless steel) for the Pro models, which can come with a toggle to virtual volume and power buttons (similar to the home button on the iPhone SE).

According to Pu, the iPhone 15 series will be in stores from September 23 (at least that’s the target Apple has set for now).
