inZOI looks like The Sims at gamescom, but with good graphics

As part of the gamescom Opening Night Live, inZOI released a new trailer that once again proves how realistic the game looks.

Webedia Gaming (GameStar, GamePro, MeinMMO) accompanies the major gaming event as the official media partner of Gamescom 2024.

What kind of game is this? inZOI is a life simulation from the Korean developer studio Krafton and is scheduled to be released in 2024. The game will be available on Steam, but does not yet have an exact release date. The trailer at the gamescom Opening Night live also only showed the date for the test of the character editor.

Real competition for the Sims thanks to realism

What makes the game special? While the Sims relies on a more playful comic look, inZOI takes a different approach. The life simulation relies on realism, which has an impact not only graphically but also in terms of gameplay.

There is a huge, open world with lots of details. This can also be customized and designed by the players themselves. The characters can explore their city in their own car or on foot and, for example, have conversations in the park, go fishing at the harbor or sit around the campfire on the beach with friends and play the guitar.

By car, you don’t just get from A to B, in the trailer you can see that you can also get a ticket for parking in a no-parking zone and there are also supposed to be accidents with other road users.

What can the characters do? The characters’ emotions are not neglected either. Some of them even argue violently. But the life simulation doesn’t stop at love either. Your characters can get married, complete with a wedding party, and of course they can raise offspring.

At home, you can also engage in the typical activities that you probably already know from the genre classic The Sims. Gardening, cooking, grilling and putting out a burning kitchen will probably be possible in inZOI.

When can you play inZOI? While there is no release date for inZOI yet, you can try out the game’s character editor between August 21 and 26.

Here, too, the game relies on realism. There are almost no limits when creating your characters and it should also be possible to create a realistic replica of yourself. Another feature that makes the game even more realistic is a type of face morph that ensures that your facial expressions are transferred into the game: inZOI transfers your face into the game and you can try out the alternative to Sims tomorrow
