This week, the Swedish Forest Agency and the government have invited European politicians to a lavish three-day course. The purpose was to provide decision-makers in the EU with knowledge and information about what the Swedish and Nordic forests can offer in the transition.
But only three decision-makers came to the conference and the venture is now singled out as a failure.
– We will of course have to evaluate this later, if we possibly get a continued assignment on this, but it is up to the government, says Herman Sundqvist, Director General of the Swedish Forest Agency.
