(Finance) – Invimitthe SGR of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) which aims to enhance public real estate assets, has decided to abandon the “opa” projectlaunched in June 2023 by the previous management to buy properties throughout the national territory to be allocated to the creation of student residences.
The approach of the new council of Invimit Sgr – Stefano Scalera CEO and Mario Valducci President – is based on “a model that considers the entire portfolio of the entitiesthrough the adoption of professional and tailor -made solutions for the possible destinations of each property and on the economic, financial and social sustainability of the investment – we read in a note – it was decided to follow this new course, taking into account the guidelines and the outcome of the meetings promoted by the control room for the enhancement and disposal of the public real estate assets established at the MEF “.
Unlike the past, therefore, the project is no longer based on the selective choice of individual assets“not being functional to the best enhancement of the properties identified and, above all, to the creation of value through a different use of the public real estate assets”, is highlighted.
Specifically, the SGR has established not to continue the procedure and to have appropriately communicated this decision to the municipalities concerned and the vigilant bodies, with reference to the Opa project, approved by the previous board of directors in June 2023, when CEO was Giovanna Della Posta and President Nuccio Altieri.
